The Matrix: Revolt
It started as a ripple, echoing off the bowels of the Earth and resounding through the deep of the ocean. It rose in a fury making its way over mountains and consuming the very planet. The war had begun.
Even though peace was created between humans and machines when Neo deleted Agent Smith, a power-hungry group of humans formed in secret an ultimate weapon, its only goal being to wipe out all machines and humans alike. This group was to be the master of the virus and triumph as the new rulers of the world.
Today, they unleashed the plague.
Even though he was Neo, the savior of the Matrix, Thomas A. Anderson was still a man and his emotions were troubling him. He should have followed the Architect's advice and rebuilt Zion with Trinity at his side. Instead, his selfishness lost the life of the only person he really cared about.
These thoughts were spinning through his head as he tried to recover from the final battle with Agent Smith.
Cold metallic arms reached around his arms, legs, and middle. He could see the orange code of the gigantic machine wrapping around him just before he passed out.
As Neo lay across the platform of the leviathan healer, they were steadily moving towards the fetus fields.
Several cables were implanted into Neo's many jacks. Unknown to Neo, the Machine was planning to reinsert him into the Matrix.
The Machine was glad that someone finally had the courage to face him in the name of peace. He thought it was only best that he reinsert him.
Neo woke up in his bed.
Man, that was one weird dream I just had. He thought.
He obviously could not remember anything about saving the Matrix. He knew his name Thomas A. Anderson and that he had a job and knew how to hack as Neo.
He was unaware of the immediate danger when he started having repetitive deja-vus.
Had he been able to remember everything he would have dialed up Morpheus on the spot, but since he didn't remember anything, this would be quite hard for him to do.
Instead, he got out of his bed and put on his work suit and rode the usual bus to work, day-in-day-out.
Morpheus felt good about himself. He had single- handedly proven his prophecy to Zion and won Niobe's heart back.
Cmdr. Lock still had the defense systems of his beloved Zion on his mind. He did not believe in any crackpot old prophecy concocted by Morpheus. It took about two minutes after the Sentinels left the dock to focus his thoughts and start giving orders again.
"I want full holographics on those Sentinels."
"Sir, it,"
"It what, Captain?"
"It seems as if they are returning to the…"
The rest of the captain's report was drowned out by the roaring crowd in the temple roused by the Kid and Link. The news that the war had ended was not too much for them to comprehend.
The party was the greatest that Zion had ever seen. People were still dancing until three days later, but that is not in this story.
Morpheus had more pressing matters to attend to such as: Where was Neo? And, What happened to him? His search was soon fruitful as he requested a sweep of the Matrix to detect him.
But why was he back at work? What had happened to him exactly? Questions like these were buzzing through Morpheus's head as he put on his boots.
He found Link outside of his door, wiped out after dancing for so long.
"Get the Nebuchadnezzer ready for departure as soon as humanly possible, we're going to find Neo." Instructed Morpheus and headed off to explain the scenario to the Councilors.
The Kid raced off, not believing that he had just received his first mission aboard the Nebuchadnezzer. He hurried to the ship and jumped into the cargo bay… time for some repairs.
