The first thing I see is light.
I push myself up via my arms, blinking in confusion. My vision adjust to the brightness of my surroundings. I'm presently stranded in a forest, colorful flowers surrounding me. I decide to stand up. However, my legs buckle underneath me, a result of my current dizziness. I catch myself, sigh, and mutter, "Well, damn."
I blink a few times more, then shake my head, attempting to clear it. I proceed to rub the sleep out of my eyes, then realize that I had probably been sleeping a while. After stretching and yawning, I stand again, this time prepared. As I'm not falling down, I assume I've gotten the hang of standing, and I observe my surroundings more closely. I quickly notice that I'm wearing a green chocker, which I briefly finger before returning to observing the area around me.
The trees around me are spaced out, and the flowers around me smell of unfamiliar aromas. I glance at a puddle of fresh water, and glimpse something unusual.
Wait, why am I suddenly a flying squirrel?
My ears are big and round, and there are yellow patches on my cheeks. Folds of yellow skin stretching from my wrists to my waist are between my arms, supposedly enabling flight. I know I've seen this somewhere before...
Those advertisements on TV. I remember them well... images of this tiny monster were shown on there. I think it was called, um... Pokemon?
Strangely, that was all I could recall. That, and my name... What was it again?
Oh, yes. It was Fiona.
I sigh. I'm pretty confused about this whole thing, so I'd better just relax. After all, it isn't like all hell had broken loose.
Suddenly, I hear a rustling in the bushes.
A big,-well, actually medium size, but big from my perspective-purple, cat-like creature springs out, carrying a small brown pouch in his teeth. He must not have been looking where he was going, because he knocks me out of his way, fleeing from some unseen threat. In blind anger, I instinctively glide up to the back of his neck and start trying to bite him, biting on his skin.
"Get off of me, rodent," he hisses, glaring at me.
I start with rage. NOBODY, and I mean NOBODY, calls me a rodent and gets away with it. My anger must have had some effect on my body, because I feel a spark release from my pouches. The creature starts underneath me, swears, and then suddenly passes out. I sit up, slightly confused, and then realize I must have accidently shocked him. I suddenly feel satisfied with myself. A split second later, I notice that I just actually grew taller.
What was this place?
