Lego House – Ed Sheeran

"I'm gonna pick up the pieces, and build a Lego House,"

Harry watched the Dursleys drive away. Sure, they were horrid towards him, but they were his only family. And it turned out that Dudley didn't think he was a waste of space after all.

"If things go wrong we can knock it down."

For hours, it felt, he waited for his friends. He thought of how scared they all must be, of how close they all were to being torn apart. He thought of Dumbledore, and what he would have done. He thought of Snape. Snape, who wrecked it all.

"But three words have two meanings, and there's one thing on my mind. It's all for you."

A motorbike sounded some distance away. He knew they had come. They had come to save him, and perhaps even die for him.

"And it's dark on a cold December, but I got you to keep me warm."

A few minutes later, Hermione crashed through the door and embraced him, followed by Ron and Hagrid, and the remaining members of the Order of the Phoenix.

"If you're broken I will mend you, and I'll keep you sheltered from the storm that's raging on."

Mad-Eye went through their plan with him. There were loopholes, but he would never be able to tell them how grateful he was for their bravery and friendship.

After finally agreeing to take the Polyjuice Potion, they set off, some of them never to return to this world.

"I'm outta touch, I'm outta love, I'll pick you up when you're getting down, and out of all these things I've done, I think I love you better now."

What A Day – Greg Laswell

"What a day to be alive, what a day to realise I'm not dead. What a day to save a dime, what a day to die trying."

Harry, Ron and Hermione walked through the rubble of the broken school. It was a shadow of how it used to be. The Courtyard had been ripped apart by Voldemort and his Death Eaters. The Great Hall was scattered with the bodies of their dead allies and friends. The classrooms, the towers... everything. Destroyed by men and women from both sides who were fighting "for the greater good".

"What a way to say goodbye, what a wonderful life now, all aligned. What a way that you survive, what a day to say goodnight."

But that wasn't important now. They were alive, and they were grateful. They were alive, and they could get on with their lives. They had each other and that was all that mattered. They survived. The Boy Who Lived had survived.

"Bring on the evening hours I cried, Bring on the evidence of my life... of my life."
