Author's Note

This is my first upload. I aim to start simple. This is a poem I wrote, inspired by a scene from The Lady of the Lake by Andrzej Sapkowski. I will leave it to you to guess which scene it is. Any constructive criticism is much appreciated. Enjoy!

Locked and tortured in darkness,

Lips sealed, failing to reveal her daughter.

Living through so much pain, now relieved with one embrace.

On kiss to say everything is alright, everything is okay.

The same affection that once was the bringer of heartache.

Broken and hunted through darkness,

Radiating an aura of sacred magic,

With a final swing of sword, slaying the demon

That made her shed blood,

That shed the blood of her paramour.

Now distant calls, "Where are you, Mother?"

Mutated and created through darkness,

His heart beat, never before had it such rhythm.

He never wanted to let go for he loved her.

He found her, his child bound by the Law of Surprise

And his heart bound by his last wish.

The Swallow, the Raven and the Wolf,

Enduring so much pain, have found each other.

So fatigued, just let it be over.

With one wish to see the sky, to see the light,

The destiny that bound them together.
