Author's Note: Yes, a title that completely cancels itself out. Sounds like something I'd do. ANYWAY! SHOUT OUT TO DAPHROSE BECAUSE WEE! PLEASE READ AND REVIEW!:)
Douglas and Chase. Father and son. Like father, like son. The phrase came into Donald's mind sometimes, albeit unintentionally. Sometimes the others thought it too. Sometimes, all they saw was the same haircut, same intelligence, and same ambition. That was where they converged and diverged. For physical appearances, they were the convergence. The divergence was the ambition, or the fuel for it, at least.
Douglas' ambition was for power. Chase's ambition was for the well-being of others. For most, however, it was hard to look past the physical similarities. All they saw was Douglas and mini-Douglas. They couldn't see the differences. Chase was paying for having the misfortune to look like Douglas. Once Chase froze Douglas, the divergence became quite clear. Chase thought his days of judgement were over.
Then Krane's attack came. While Chase lay next to Douglas, shielding them from the attack, all his siblings saw was someone saving his future partner-in-crime. They couldn't see the benevolent forgiveness of a boy saving a father who had tried to fix the wrongs he had commit upon his children. Their goals now converged, so, perhaps they themselves will converge.
Author's Note: Just realized this is awful, but you know whatever. Please review thanks!
