Callidora Longbottom was delighted with the news she had just received from her husband.

"That's wonderful! Do you know how far along she is?" Callidora asked.

"Not far, I think they want to keep it in the family for now. There was one other thing though; Cedrella would like to see you. I think she wants you to be part of her life again," Harfang said.

Cedrella. The sister she had been forced not to acknowledge if she didn't want to be disowned too. It had grieved Callidora greatly having to pretend Cedrella did not exist when she was standing right in front of her. It was all because of love. Cedrella's love for a blood traitor and hers for Harfang. The only reason she had obeyed her parents was because she loved her betrothed and wanted to marry him, and the only way to marry him was to stay a Black.

"My parents-"

"Are no longer a concern. You are my wife and if you want to reconnect with your sister then I will let you. If your parents do not like it then they can take it up with me. I know you have been struggling with this ever since it happened, my love. I know that the only reason you followed their lead was because you were scared that you were going to be disowned too," Harfang said taking her hand.

"I followed their lead because I didn't want to lose you. I loved you then as I do now and I couldn't risk losing you. I hope she understands," Callidora confessed.

"I am sure she will, my love. Cedrella defied your father for love, I am sure she would understand not defying him for yours," he said trying to reassure her.

Callidora nodded unable to speak.

All the guilt that had been building up over the years was at the surface and she hoped more than anything that her sister would forgive her. Even with Harfang's reassurance, Callidora knew that emotions did not adhere to logic and she would have to show Cedrella that she was sorry.
