Disclaimer: I don't own Young Justice. Otherwise Satisfaction would've come a lot sooner and it would have Red Hood in it. Just putting that out there.

Tim's shaded eyes restlessly looked at the holographic memorial in front of him. Robin, no Jason Todd, had fallen for a heroic and noble cause. That's what everyone said when he asked what happened to his predecessor.

But Tim still knew better. Jason died because Joker was low on entertainment and a broken bird's cries would just tantalize his senses for a while. It was sick. And twisted. And so many other horrible adjectives.

In the back of his mind he heard Jamie going on about how everyone else had mentors. How it wasn't fair. How Tim himself had three people to look up to and help him.

It would've been too easy for poor Tim to yell out that Jason had those same three people, and look where that got him. A grave in Gotham? A memorial that no one will ever see? Tears shed onto countless tissues at a funeral?

No, actually it got him something a little better. He had the respect of everyone who knew that he had perished. But was that ever actually enough?

One thing's for sure. Death is cruel.

A/N: Just a little five minute drabble. I'll probably rewrite it later. But when I saw Tim staring up at Jason's memorial something just clicked inside my little nerdy brain. Then this was spouted out in poor quality.

You know the drill. Review! Please!
