I took a ride on a February moring
Just getting over it and dealing with the mourning
I started thinking out loud

The same thoughts kept running through Kagomes mind. "He's dead. Inuyasha's dead." Or at least that was what Kikyo had said. Kagome hadn't been there when it happened, but Kikyo had. Kikyo had seen it.

That left me all alone

Kikyo. Kagome hated the girl now. Why had Kikyo been there when Inuyasha died and not her? True, Inuyasha used to love Kikyo, but he lover her now, right?

She loved him. It was that simple. She loved him so much. She missed him badly everytime she went though the well. But had Inuyasha missed her like she missed him? Had he ever told her he loved her? She couldn't remember. Surely he had, right?

Kagome bit her lip as tears welled in her eyes. These simple thoughts had her doubting almost everything now. He had loved her too, right? He HAD too. An emptyness began to fill her as she sank to her knees crying. Her arms snaked around her stomach as she doubled over.

As Kagome kneeled there crying, someone silently came up behind her.

"Shh," he said, moving some of her hair away from her face,"I'm not dead. Kikyo lied."

Kagome took a shaky breath and started crying again. Inuyasha tightened his grip on her before leaning forwad and whispering in her ear.
