A/N: First Ninja Turtle FanFic. It's not very long and kinda flat with the characters, but at least you can get through it. At least, I assume you can. This isn't what I had in mind for a turtle story, but I really needed to write this. Although I really cannot explain the title. And yeah, this is really, really short… : End of author note.

I like you. Three words, straight to the point. Sent to her phone two weeks ago. Leonardo is a patient turtle, but the wait is starting to get to him. Emily is an amazing person and Leo feels honored to know her. For several months now, they have grown close and have lightly flirted with each other.

Being a five-foot-two anthropomorphic turtle, Leonardo has never been in a romantic relationship and is very shy concerning his heart. But to Leo, Emily is worth the risk.

"This shouldn't be hard. She knows I like her. It's simple: 'Yes, I like you' or 'No, I just want to be friends'. I can handle either answer; just put me out of my misery!"

"Bro, you're gonna hafta put yourself outta your own misery." Raphael's voice came from the doorway. Leo lifted his head from its resting place on his pillow and looked at his brother.

"Come again?"

"Leo, go to her apartment and ask her out. She's obviously too shy ta do anything, even though the pressure's offa her."

"Raph, I'm a turtle. Where could I take her?"

"The park. Wear a disguise. Em likes things simple. Taking a moonlight walk would be more than enough for her."

"Don't I have any other options?"

"Yeah. Waste away on your bed." Leo lifted his middle finger in response.

"Bro, why are ya pointin' at me?" Raph smirked. Stupid three fingers!

"Fine. I'll go. If this blows up in my face I'm coming after you."

"Go get 'er, bro"

At Emily's window...

"Hi, Leo. I should've known it would be you at my window." Emily smiled as she let him inside.

"Hi, Emily."

"…"

"…"

"Okay, you're quiet. What gives?"

"Emily…? Would you, er, like to, maybe, Go to the, uhh, park…with me? And maybe get a slice of pizza…?"

Emily grinned. "Finally!" Leo's jaw dropped.

"Um, what?"

"I've been waiting for you to ask me out for forever!"

"Maybe if I knew you liked me, I would have done it sooner." He smiled, feeling more relaxed.

"I've been flirting with you all this time"

"Yeah, more like you've been receptive to MY flirting." She thought about that for a moment, and then smiled. She closed the space between them, leaned in, and placed a gentle kiss on his mouth.

"Do you know now?" She whispered softly. Leo nodded his head, too surprised to answer. Emily giggled and grabbed his hand. She pulled him to her front door.

"Now, about that trip to the park…"

A/N: Thank you for reading this. This is right out of my life. Except that I'm still at the waiting stage because Leo is much braver than I am. I brought it up with the guy in a text earlier today and haven't heard back yet, so I'm blowing off my frustration by turning it into a one-shot. (Oh, and I told him I liked him in the form of a sticky note, rather than a text. Details, details.) Anyway please review, I would really appreciate it. :)
