Happy 11/6~ n_n
The slight push from Marluxia sent Zexion tumbling over. He landed flat on his butt which made contact with the hard concrete of the streets that paved the World That Never Was.
Usually neither of the two boys would be here; they were stationed at Castle Oblivion. However, they had decided to take a short break from their jobs before the upcoming seasonal hustle and bustle.
"Ehehe, sorry Zexion. I always forget how light weight you are." Marluxia apologized and helped Zexion to his feet.
"It's okay Marluxia. I'm used to it." Zexion said almost monotonously; a bit of icy sass laced the words. Marluxia snickered.
"What?" Zexion said sharply, turning his attention towards the pink haired boy standing next to him.
"Nothing… it's just… you!" he laughed and turned his attention skyward. Zexion sighed and continued walking. He didn't hear Marluxia coming with him, so he glanced backwards to see him still staring at sky. Zexion paused, and took a few deep breaths. He could see his breath rising skyward, as if it was trying to touch the stars that were splitting across the sky like lightning. He continued over to Marluxia, and slipped him small hand into Marluxia's ungloved hand. His skin was like a porcelain doll; smooth and cold.
"What're you looking at?" Zexion whispered softly, not wanting to interrupt his lover's train of thought too much.
"What do they look like to you?"
"Hm?"
"The stars."
"Oh." Zexion thought about it. The stars were skipping across the sky in a whimsical manner, almost like they were playing. So beautiful.
"They remind me of…" Zexion felt a fluttering in his stomach. "Butterflies."
"Hm. Yeah. I guess if you think about it. They sure are really colourful like them." Zexion couldn't help but smile. The two never really had the same train of thought.
"Or maybe flowers. You like flowers." Zexion smiled at Marluxia.
"I love flowers." Marluxia grinned.
"I know you do." Zexion muttered.
"You know what else I love?" Marluxia stared straight into Zexion's eyes, playing with his hand.
"Me?" Zexion said, already knowing the answer.
"You're a good guesser." Marluxia purred and nuzzled Zexion's neck.
"Not really. You're just predictable!" Zexion laughed and slipped his hand out of Marluxia's, and ran off down the brightly lit streets.
The two chased each other around for a while, each enjoying the other's company. The butterflies mimicked them.
Teh end. n_n
