Grave of Roses

There will come a day we're dead and gone
In my heart I know it's right not wrong

I'll tell you now it's a promise not a lie
There will come a time for you and I to die

I've cause hurt and I've caused harm
But all I want is to die in your arms

On the day my heart will slow
There's something I want you to know

In my heart there's a grave
In that grave is the sun
For now my days are done

In my heart there's a grave
In that grave is the moon
For the dawn is coming soon

In my heart there's a grave
In that grave is the stars
To gaze at from behind bars

In my heart there's a grave
In that grave is regret
Buried and gone; the sun has set

Our days are gone

In your grave there's a rose
To tell you where my heart goes

In your grave lies my heart
Because it was always yours

It's lousy. I know it is.
