A Little Wish
*SIGH* Kagome looked up at the stars. Inuyasha, Kede, Sango, Miroku and Shippou where all fast asleep in Kede's hut. Although Kagome was tired as well, she just had to make this wish before she went to bed. Memories of the day swarmed her head and she pondered why she really wanted to make this wish.
~*~ Flashback
"Snow? What the heck is that???"
Kagome looked at Inuyasha expectantly and said, "You know. The white cold fluffy stuff?"
Inuyasha looked at her like she was crazy. "Ummm. not really Kagome."
Kagome returned his look of insanity. "How have you never heard of snow?? EVERYONE knows about snow!"
"Kagome your crazy."
Kagome flipped her hair impatiently. "It's a little bit like rain, except for it's white, and only comes when it's really cold out."
"Huh?"
Kagome ignored his confusion and said "And sometimes, when it snow a real lot, school is canceled, and we get to stay home! Then my friends and me go outside and have a snowball fight! It's a lot of fun."
Now Inuyasha was really confused. Snow? Huh? He wished he could see some of this snow, but he wanted to keep his reputation so he simply said, "Feh. I've never heard of such nonsense."

Again Kagome sighed. She knew that Inuyasha would like snow once he saw it, so she looked up at the night sky, picking a star for her wish. When she had picked, Kagome looked directly at the star and said a phrase her friend from the U.S had once told her:
"Star light, star bright, first star I see to night.. Let it snow tomorrow ok? Even though it never gets cold enough here, I really want Inuyasha to see snow."
With that, and without another word, Kagome walked back to kede's hut. Getting into her sleepingbag beside Inuyasha, she looked at him and smiled weakly. He looked so cute and helpless when he slept. She really hoped it would snow for him, as she drifted off to sleep.
~*~ The next morning
"KAGOME!!!!!!!!!! KAGOME WAKE UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Kagome blinked as her vision became clear, and she saw Inuyasha shaking her quite violently. "Look outside!!!"
Kagome looked and was immediately wide-awake, for outside Kede's hut, was snow! Inuyasha looked both frightened and confused, so Kagome said happily "Inuyasha! That's snow!"
Now Inuyasha actually looked excited. "So this is snow? Wow! This is cool!" He made sure the rest of the crew was asleep, before running out side and jumping around in the falling snow, not even caring that Kagome was watching. Kagome giggled. When Inuyasha finally came back inside, Kagome was laughing her heard off. He looked just like Sota on a snow day! Inuyasha was actually having fun, a thing he did rarely, and he wasn't even killing anyone!
Suddenly Inuyasha had a thought. "Kagome, how did you make it snow?"
Kagome smiled warmly. She had a sudden urge to do something quite strange, and something inside her said it was right. So, she leaned over kissed him square on the mouth, and said to his shocked yet delighted face, "Sometimes a little wishing goes a long way." ^_~
Authors note: Ok. that wasn't THAT bad was it? It's the shortest fic I've ever written. It came to me when I woke up this morning; it was snowing and we didn't have school, so I ran outside and was all, "This is cool!!!" ^_^ ~*~ SilberEngel
