Disclaimer: I don't, and have no wish to, own Dragon Booster or any other media. I'm rather content with just writing fan fictions based on them.

Kit Wan was on her way to Pen Stables for a meeting called by Conner. It was late and night had already settled on Dragon City. To be out in the city at night was dangerous, especially when alone. Someone could catch you off guard and steal your money, gear, dragon, and kidnapping wasn't unheard of either. But Kit and her dragon Wyldfyr were the best non-super powered street racers in Dragon City, so they didn't worry too much. Tonight it was very clear and that always eased Kit's mind a bit. They were running a bit late so they were going faster than usual: a quick run, as opposed to their usual light jog.

Suddenly something hit Kit in the back of her head, almost causing her helmet to come off. She was harshly pushed forward in her saddle, and she whipped her head around to look behind her. Who she saw scared her.

The Shadow Booster charged another mag blast and laughed menacingly as he threw it at her. This time she was able to block his attack. His dragon was trying to catch up with them and so was at a full sprint. Kit immediately pushed Wyldfyr into a sprint, but he was tired from running at an elevated pace for so long. The Shadow Booster easily caught up, then his dragon, following his orders, attacks. The dragon jumps high, landing squarely on top of Kit and Wyldfyr.

The dragon's forelegs land on Kit directly, pinning her to Wyldfyr in the saddle, its claws digging into the flesh of her back and the weight causing sickening snapping sounds as her ribs broke. Kit's blood curdling screams of pure agony seem to shake the two dragons and the Booster to their cores, because they all froze.

Wyldfyr was terrified for his rider's life and murderously angry at the evil fiend and his beast whom had jumped them. Still, there was nothing Wyldfyr could do about it, as he was being pinned to the ground by Kit's body being pressed down on his front and the dark dragon's hind legs weighing down his rear. The horrid dragon had placed her feet exactly where it made the task of escape for Wyldfyr or his rider impossible.
