This is a bit of a sample, if I decide to continue with this the chapters will be longer I promise. Also feel free to leave a review, would be much appreciated. XD

Also I'm new so don't be dicks about it, that was crass wasn't it? Never mind.

Disclaimer: I do not own pitch perfect nor any of the characters presented in this text.

Living in a shared apartment with three of her favourite Bella's was not Chloe Beale's expected outcome two days after finishing college and winning the World A Capella Championships. Not that she was complaining, after all they had just moved in, as in they were still piling up the boxes marked with each Bella's initials scribbled on them in thick black marker. It's just that she never thought she would still be living with Beca. There's something about being able to watch or rather admire Beca on a day to day basis that makes Chloe's heart flutter to a pace that no doctor would deem healthy. It keeps her alive, corny, but true.

She has to laugh as Beca stumbles through the door, holding too many boxes for her short frame to see over. "You know the truck isn't going anywhere" Beca drops her handful with a hard thud in the hallway and turns to face Chloe, slightly blushing. "No, but the more I carry the less trips I have to do."

Chloe lets out a mocking laugh as her right eyebrow slightly raises, "I beg to differ, the more you carry the more tripping you tend to do." Beca narrows her eyes at the redhead. "You're lucky you're that pretty, Beale." Chloe watches as the brunette starts walking back outside to help Aubrey and Stacie retrieve more boxes.

*I'm bulletproof, nothing to lose

Fire away, fire away…*

The redhead rushes over to the counter to answer her phone. "Hey mum, what's going on?"

"Just wanted to remind you of the get together for Christmas, we're looking forward to meeting the lucky man." Chloe's smile instantly fell. Every year the Beale's have a family gathering for Christmas. In any other circumstance Chloe would be ecstatic about the mention of socialising with her cousins, nieces, nephews and so on, however, this year it's different. Late this year she may have told her parents she has a partner, intentionally not describing them as male or female, to get her mum off of her back about getting a boyfriend. The only catch is, Chloe Beale doesn't have a girlfriend or boyfriend.

Earlier this year, after her breakup with Tom, Chloe had come out to all of the Bella's and they all accepted her with arms wide open. If anything it reinforced her bond with them all and she's grateful every day for the wonderful and supportive people she has been able to call her best friends for the last few years. She just hasn't had the time to come out to her family yet. It was probably better if she told them in person and with all that has been going on the past year, she just hasn't had time until now. When she had told her mum about having a partner it hadn't seemed like a bad idea only now she was regretting it, heavily.

"Chloe?" She snapped back to reality, shaking her head to get out of her dazed state.

"Yeah, I'm here" Her mind flustered, trying desperately to come up with a response.

"So, if you two could come a day earlier that would be great. We could use another two sets of hands to set up." The redhead plops down on one of the boxes, staring at the floor as the three other Bella's enter the room.

"Sure mum, I'll see you then. Love you and give dad a kiss for me." As she pressed the red button to hang up, Chloe instantly felt the anxiety rise. She started twiddling her thumbs and processing any solutions to her current predicament.
