Okay, this is just something I'm gonna scribble off really fast before all my family arrives for Thanksgiving dinner. I think this is a "missing" part from the latest episode of NCIS:LA, "Deliverance".

After the blast slammed them backwards onto the concrete surface, Deeks' head was pounding horribly, but Kensi was alive in his arms.

"You okay?" he asked her.

"I have to pee," she gasped, still lying on top of Deeks.

"I think you just did," he teased, a smile of relief spreading across her face.

Sam was practically shouting into Deeks' earpiece, and the LAPD liaison quickly let Callen and Sam know that he and Kensi were okay.

"You ready to get off me?" Deeks asked Kensi, winking suggestively.

She stared back down at him, her dark eyes filled with a gleam that Deeks had never seen in them.

"No, not really," she replied honestly. "You just saved my life, Deeks." Without any hesitation, she leaned down and pressed a slow, sweet kiss onto his lips.

It only took Deeks a second to respond, and he wrapped his arms around her, holding her close. To think he had almost lost the beautiful, talented woman in his arms scared him horribly.

Finally, the partners broke apart, but neither one moved an inch.

"For the record, Deeks, I trust you now," Kensi whispered breathlessly.

"It took kissing me to get you to trust me?" Deeks raised one eyebrow skeptically.

"No, dork. It took you saving my life." Kensi smacked Deeks' arm half-heartedly and smiled down at him.

"We better get up before Sam and Callen find us this way," Deeks suggested reluctantly.

Both of them got to their feet slowly, stiff and sore from their unexpected meeting with the hard floor. As they headed away to find Sam and Callen, Deeks took Kensi's hand in his and squeezed it tightly.

"Don't ever surrender yourself to anybody again," he told her. "I don't know what I'd do if I lost you."

A few hours later, reports had been written, and the case had been closed. It was getting late, and the team decided that it was time to leave. Deeks hung back from Sam and Callen so that he could leave with Kensi. She had been somewhat quiet and shy since their kiss at the sports arena, but he wasn't going to let her get away from him again.

When she started to leave, he grabbed his backpack and jogged after her. "So, where am I taking you for dinner tonight? We need to celebrate being alive."

Kensi hesitated for only a moment. "How about you come back to my place, and I cook for you?"

Deeks grinned. "I'm all yours, Kens."
