The Gold family sat in the living room, end credits to 'The Little Mermaid' scrolling down the TV screen. Belle looked over at her husband, smiling. He held their twin girls one on either side of his lap and slumped against his side. They were Anna and Catherine and four years old. Anna had Belle's dark curly hair but her father's penchant for a little mischief, while Catherine had her father's fluffy dirty blond hair and her mother's desire for books. Both were asleep with identical agape mouths and soft snores. It made Belle smile to see how tender he was with his children. Nowadays, people were more apt to come to him for advice on children instead of deals, much to Rumpelstiltskin's embarrassment.

A soft cooing in her own arms made her look down, bouncing baby Robert. He was barely a year old but he already had his daddy's dark looks. Belle held Robert a little closer and kissed his forehead and he quickly settled. The movements beneath Robert weren't something she could stop, though. She held Robert to the side to rub at her swollen belly. This baby had come as a surprise, a Christmas miracle as best they could figure. Rumpelstiltskin had been even happier when she told him about this baby. Perhaps it had just been the shock of it all, but Belle was sure she'd never seen a bigger smile on his face. As she reminisced, a sort of pensive look grew in her eyes and Rumpelstiltskin couldn't stop staring at his beautiful wife.

Never had she looked so beautiful as she did when she was pregnant. Something primal in him seemed to nod in approval every time he saw her round with his child. He had done that to her, and Belle had accepted the nine month mark he left. The fact that she was pregnant and holding his son only made him happier and he knew he could never thank her enough for this. Carefully pulling his girls up to rest on his shoulders, Rumpelstiltskin stood and was again grateful for his healed leg. He carried Anna and Catherine across the room and stopped in front of Belle,

"I think it's time we put this lot to bed." he whispered. Belle seemed to come back to herself and nodded. With no small amount of effort, she managed to stand up, still holding Robert. She walked over to the TV, shutting both it and the DVD player off. Belle followed her husband up the stairs and walked into Robert's room. Belle gently placed him in his crib, smiling. Robert snuffled a little, but her hand on his little tummy made Robert quiet. She left her hand there. They would have another one of these soon. Another little baby. Another one for Rumple and her to cuddle. Belle was still watching over Robert when Rumpelstiltskin came in behind her. He wrapped his arms around her widened waist and Belle leaned back against his chest.

"We get more." he whispered, lightly tapping her belly. Belle nodded happily,

"That we do, darling."

"And what will we name her?" he asked. Belle turned to her husband,

"Her? What makes you think it's a her?" asked Belle. They had elected to have this baby's gender be a surprise, like everything else about it. Rumpelstiltskin shrugged,

"It's a theory." He said. Belle smiled and kissed the stubble on his cheek. She thought for a moment,

"If it's a her, we'll name her Wendy."

"Wendy? I was thinking more Rose." Murmured Rumpelstiltskin as he kissed her hair. Belle shook her head,

"We'll name her Wendy, darling." Rumpelstiltskin rocked Belle and rubbed his hand over her belly,

"Wendy Darling. I like the sound of that."
