Poor Severus

It all started at Hogwarts the very school he teaches at. He went to school with many of the best-known names in the wizarding world, as well as himself, but it wasn't as great as you may think.

He was in Slytherin, along with Lucious Malfoy. In Gryffindor were James Potter, Lily Evans, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin. He had a crush on Lily, but would never admit it, the only problem was so did James. They hated each other, and so did their friends. Two groups that only agreed on one thing, they hated the other. They would pull pranks on each other, but some were more harmful than others, but let us begin at the beginning.

It was his first year at Hogwarts, and he was so excited. He had every thing and was getting on the train when he first met James Potter. Potter, a boy with black untidy hair and brown eyes hidden behind circular glasses, pushed him out of the way so he could get on first.

"Hey!"

"What? I didn't see you." Said Potter as if expecting him to believe it.

Snape didn't hear, he had just seen a beautiful girl with green luminescent eyes and red hair, and wasn't really watching where he was going.

"Watch it!" called Sirius, a boy with dark hair and eyes. He was getting on the train when Snape with out knowing it tried to get on.

"Sorry, I didn't see you. I guess I wasn't … wait why am I apologizing to you?"

"Why shouldn't you?" Sirius said getting in his face.

"I don't need to apologize to any one." Snape said stepping in front of him and getting on the train. Snape believed he didn't have to listen to any one either. It was his first year at school, but he already knew more than any one else, he was also the half-blood prince.

He sat down at an empty seat next to the window, Peter Pettigrew sat in front of him, Remus Lupin was sitting next to him, and James was behind him sitting next to Sirius.

"Well, hello." Said James acting as if nothing had happened. "What's your name? I'm James Potter."

Snape felt surrounded, he could tell the other three boys had already met and were on James side. He didn't really want to know their names or tell them his, but maybe they would leave him alone if he did, may be even be his friends.

Yeah right, maybe in a million years! Then again it's worth a shot.

"My names Severus Snape."

"I'm Sirius Black, we've already met."

"I'm Peter Pettigrew." Said Peter turning around to look at Snape.

"And I'm Remus Lupin." Lupin put out his hand to shake Snape's. Snape reluctantly took his hand and shook it. He didn't like any of them already and he had only been with them for 5 minutes!

"I'm Lucious Malfoy came a cold voice from across the isle.

Severus looked to see a tall pale blond boy with pale blue eyes. He was looking right at Snape, and Snape actually liked him, he had a rude, arrogant, and boastful tone in his voice, and Snape respected that.

"I'm Severus Snape."

"Yes, I've heard."

"Hey, Sirius, isn't this the arrogant git you mention?"

"Why yes, I believe it is."

"I think we should teach him some manners."

"Leave him alone, Potter."

Snape looked, it was the red head from the platform.

She's so beautiful! I wonder who she is?

"Make me Evans."

"Alright, but you asked for it."

She took out her wand and took careful aim, but the door to the car burst open and in walked a teacher.

"Hello Professor."

Lily turned around and hid her wand. "Good day Professor."

"Good day, Miss Evans." She said as she left the car through the door on the other side.

"You almost got me in trouble, Potter!"

"Too bad it didn't work."

"Psst, Severus." Lucious whispered in his ear. "We'd better get out of here while we're still ourselves."

"What? Oh, right."

They left and went into the next car where there was 2 5th year Gryffindors
