Date: Who cares?
Time: Again, who cares?
I almost hesitate to say this, but I'm beginning to think that Harry Dresden has enough problems without me adding to them. I mean seriously, in the span of three days he's had to deal with a murderous garden gnome, a group of black wizards who were trying to summon some lesser demons, and a horny kelpie (how he escaped that one unscathed, I have no clue). And I'm pretty sure that today's Wednesday. Yeah, take a moment to think about that, and I'll just float here and watch as my prey sits on a park bench and chugs coffee like it's the elixir of life (it's actually a lot closer than most people think, but don't tell anyone I said that!). You kind of have to feel sorry for the guy, especially since the garden gnome had kicked him in the shin and jabbed it's pointy hat in a VERY uncomfortable place. As far as I can tell, the bruises still haven't healed.
Now, I'll be the first to admit that I hate Harry's guts and want him dead, but the upstart is clever (and packing the wizard equivalent of a nuclear bomb), and he probably doesn't deserve half the bad luck that's been thrown his way lately. At least he got paid and was therefore able to pay his rent, which is pretty important in the grand scheme of things if you really think about it...Though you wouldn't think that if you saw his apartment.
(I actually have; wound up getting into a staring contest with Harry's cat for three hours. I lost.)
Oh look, a Winter fae. Lesser one too, odd that it was there and...sneaking up on Harry with a gleeful look on its' face? Okay, that made a bit more sense. Obviously it was looking to make trouble for the upstart, probably trying to curry favor with Mab.
...Alright, fine! I'll help the upstart out just this once!
There, one lesser fae of the Winter Court dropped into a particularly foul bog. That should keep it busy until it forgets all about Harry.
...Oh, stop looking at me like that!
Author's Note: A dribble that I wrote a long time ago and found floating around the internet. Figured I might as well post it here. I hope you all enjoyed it!
