I own nothing.
Leah didn't cry when Emily walked down the aisle.
She didn't cry when Sam took Emily's hands in his.
Her eyes didn't even water when the vows were spoken.
Felt relief when they were finally pronounced Man and Wife.
The toasts given by the wedding party were just plain boring and the food was bland.
Leah smiled to herself, glad that this wasn't her special day. Hers would be better.
Much, much better.
The only time she shed a tear was when it was time for that special dance.
When the music started to play, she realized that there was one thing her wedding wouldn't have.
(and no, it wasn't Sam)
Leah would never get to dance that one last dance with her Dad.
A/N: The song Emily and her Dad danced to was Gracie by Ben Folds Five (not that lame 'butterfly kisses' song). This isn't a poem (mainly because I don't know how to write poetry). This is just a one-shot. Sorry its so sad.
Make yourself feel better by thinking about PRE-imprint Jacob (you know, the one that looks exactly like Steven Strait in The Covenant) showing up, taking Leah in his arms and kissing the crap out of her.
Feel better now? Me too.
