Ron and Hermione!
Ron and Hermione were always arguing. Harry wondered if they'd ever stop. They were now arguing over who got to sit in the chair by the fire. It was the Christmas holidays and not many people stayed at Christmas so the common room was empty most of the time. Their arguments were getting stupider and stupider by the second.
"No Hermione I was here first so you can go sit there!" Ron shouted pointing his finger to a chair next to Harry.
"But Ron I need to do some homework I cant see anywhere else." Hermione wined.
"Hermione, its the holidays, you don't need to do homework yet we have ages to go until it needs to be in!" Harry told her quite rightly so.
"I'm sorry Hermione, here you go" Ron said, changing his tone of voice to calmer, more kind one. At this Harry was amazed, not only had Ron backed down but he had backed down to HERMIONE!
"What?" Harry's mouth dropped in amazement
"What do you mean, What?" Ron questioned
"You never back down. Especially not for Hermione!"
"Well she is our friend, maybe we should treat her with a bit more respect than we do." Ron said intelligently.
"Yes Harry, Ron is right. I feel you are normally a little sexist and I don't appreciate that. Thank you, Ron" Hermione said sitting in the chair and gesturing for him to sit next to her. Harry was just amazed they were doing their homework together! They never have done that, unless you count Ron copying Hermione's work, but they were actually working together!
