Hello all. Welcome to my fanfiction. This is my first attempt at a romantic story, so sorry if it

sucks. I know my writing can sound very dramatic at points but that's how I write. So you know

the drill, read, enjoy, R&R. Oh and so you all know, this is written 1st person from Ginny

Weasley's POV. It's her diary.

Love At First Sight

30 August

I am in a slight state of shock. I don't know whether to believe it or not, but I think I am

in love.

I was in Diagon Alley shopping for my Hogwart's things when a boy pulled me into a

dark alleyway between Diagon and Knocturn Alley. Turning around I saw it was none other than

Draco Malfoy.

"So, Weasley, a big sixth year now, are you? Well, listen to this, scumbag: you are just

that, a scumbag. I've come to give you a little taste of what life will be like this year if you or

your horrible family does ONE THING to make it miserable for mine. I figured you ought to have

a warning to send home to dear old mummy and daddy that the ickle Weasleys should keep their

toes in line this year." Malfoy sneered at me and moved in closer. He lifted his arm, made a fist,

and threw it into my stomach. I doubled up in pain and fell to my knees, gasping for breath.

Before I could catch it, his fist was upon me again, this time on my temple. I was knocked

sideways onto the ground. The next fist I barely saw for all the stars obscuring my vision. It hit

me squarely in my left eye, pushing my head down into the cold pavement of the alleyway.

Draco lifted his fist over his head to take another blow. It was in inch away from my nose

when a boy's voice rang through the alleyway. "Leave her alone!" he spoke threateningly. Draco

stood up.

"Yeah, and what are you to tell me what to do?" Draco spat. I rubbed my eyes and sat

up. I looked at the boy and he looked back. He had lovely brown hair, intense hazel eyes, and a

sculpted face. He was wearing a plaid button down shirt, denim pants and white sneakers. He

was tall, maybe a head taller than me.

My eyes had just lit upon his arms when I saw them reach for his wand. I realized then

that he and Malfoy must have been talking the whole time I was gazing, and that Malfoy must

have threatened him, because the boy shouted "Rictusempra!" and a jet of blue light shot from

his wand. Malfoy was knocked backwards, hitting his head off a gutter, and he fell down the to

hit the pavement, knocked out cold. Then the boy walked over to me.

"Are you alright?" he asked softly but urgently. His voice was like warm honey. I washed

over me and my heart fluttered, my senses very aware of how close he was to me.

"I.oh.yes, yes, of course," I breathed. He held out a hand. I took it and attempted to

stand up but was so consumed by weariness and dizziness that I fell back onto the cold

pavement.

"Here, let me carry you," he said. He put one arm under my neck, and one under my

knees and hoisted me up to his chest. His bare skin was warm and soft on mine, his touch gentle

and caring. "If that bastard Malfoy hurt you any further than I can see, I'll grind him to a pulp.

I'm taking you to my aunt's shop, Madame Malkin's. She can fix you up straight away."

"How do you know the Malfoys?" I asked. He looked away and gave one word:

"Parents." I could tell this was not a good subject so I shut up. I closed my eyes just as we

walked through the door of Madame Malkin's.
