Author's Note: AU, Present time. One Shot. This happened to me today. So much pain!

The only thing that's different is that I didn't run into the library to find a book.

Oh gosh, writing this while you're having this pain doesn't help.

Advil

Elphaba Thropp was running through the halls of Shiz University holding her stomach tightly. The green girl skidded to a stop beside her friend Galinda Upland. "Do you have Advil, Galinda?" She asked as she winced in pain.

"No. Sorry, Elphie."

Elphaba cried out in pain as she ran off down the halls in search of someone else. "Madame Morrible, do you have Advil, or Tylenol, or Midol or something?" She asked as she winced again in pain.

"No dear, I'm sorry. We can't give you anything like that unless you have a doctor's note. Do you have a head ache?" She asked kindly.

"No. Period pain." She said sadly as she ran off again. She found her sister and stopped in front of her. "Do you have Advil, Nessa?" She asked, hoping that at least her sister would have Advil.

"Nope." Nessa said sadly.

Elphaba bent over holding her stomach and whined. "How come nobody in this school has Advil!?" She cried as she ran off to the library. She walked into the non-fiction section and found the book. 'Period Pain,' was the title.

She sat at the table for a while reading the book. She felt pain everywhere. He lower back, her legs, her feet, her thighs, and to top it all off the skin was coming off on her left thumb and it was so far down that it was bleeding slightly.

She glared at the book angrily and closed it before throwing it at the shelf. "NOOO!" She cried as she dropped to her knees in pain. "Stupid period." She murmured to herself quietly as she received a glare from the librarian.
