INFINITE LOSS
~ And I tried so hard to reach you,
But you're falling anyway. ~
I'd watched you, often, from afar. I found you fascinating- you drew me in.
And then I got to know you, and I knew you were special.
Knew I loved you.
The better I got to know you, the more in love I fell- fell so deep I was drowning. Things were going great- between us, that is. And then you found out- found it all out. And when I saw your face, looked into your eyes, I knew it.
Saw it all.
And my heart broke.
They say that the eyes are the window to the soul. Say that you can see straight to the heart. You'd seen mine- I wore my heart out on my sleeve.
Tried not too, though. Tried to hide my feelings behind a mask. But masks crack. It was never the same, after that. Never could be again.
I don't give my heart away in pieces- it's all or nothing.
I gave you all my heart.
You gave me nothing.
~ What's the point in all this screaming?
No one's listening anyway. ~
