Hi! I am writing a new story I hope you like it. This takes place when the clans are at the lake. After Sunset and before the power of three.
PrologueI stared in horror as the rouges tore through our camp. Fur flew in the air and blood spattered the ground. I looked up to see the full moon covered by clouds and I knew my warrior ancestors were not happy. I leapt on a bracken colored tom near me and bit his ear hard. He yowled and raked his claws down my shoulder tearing away the fur and leaving a deep scratch. I hissed in pain and raked my claws over his muzzle. He spat in fury and raced out of the camp. I knew the cat that had brought the rouges here and I searched for her desperately. I saw her with our leader pinned to the ground, I stared in horror as my leader went still and went through the process of losing a life. I leapt on her from behind yowling in rage.
"Traitor," I screamed as I attacked her. The cat before me was our deputy and she threw me off easily. I snarled and leapt up from the ground but I had lost sight of her. I ran over to my leader. His brown pelt was smeared with blood and his eyes were going glassy. He gazed up at me. "Moonlight, I am losing my last life. The clan is lost." He gasped.
"No," whispered.
"Yes, I want you to run. Get away from here. If you leave the clan will live on. Find the ones that helped us so long ago. They will accept you. They will help you. Find them, don't look back just keep running."
"NO," I yelled I would not leave my clan in a time of need, "I will not let the clan fall. I will fight just like the warrior code says."
"You are young and don't understand." My leader snarled as he gasped for breath. "Run!"
I heard growling behind me and spun to see our deputy coming towards us. Her white pelt stood out in the night. I turned and ran hating myself for leaving. I heard a dieing shriek and knew that my leader had gone to join Starclan, I yowled in pain and anger at all that I had lost. I kept running past the twoleg place and into the river. I gasped at how cold the water was and quickly wadded to the other side. I kept running not bothering to shake my fur dry. I ran tell my paws were bleeding and the sun had risen and set again. I kept running and then I collapsed and watched as the stars above me went dark.
Firestar looked at the activities in the camp. It was green leaf and the fresh kill pile was full. He could see Ferncloud and her mate Dustpelt outside the nursery. He stood up and streached then bounded down from the highledge. His deputy Brambleclaw came up to him. "All the patrols are taken care of unless you want to lead one Firestar."
