Poem I wrote for school, supposed to be a love poem -.- of course I end up writing it Superhero-esque.

Disclaimer: I own nothing in italics, nor the characters, nor YJ. Some of the stuff in the poem is different from the TV show, but I tried to stay as close as possible.

It's Traught, hints of Spitfire . . .

"We'll laugh about this someday."

Flash of a phone,

Blink of my disconcerted eyes.

(Next to his concerted ones)

My startled look,

My open mouth.

He smiles.

His mouth opens,

Lets out.

"We'll Laugh About This Someday."

Same day,

After.

I'm slowly falling for him.

Dodge the fire,

Rebreather in water.

I say,

Disaster.

Disconcerted.

Distraught.

He says,

Aster.

Concerted.

Traught.

"So Get Traught, or Get. DEAD!"

New member,

Arrives.

He makes a fool

Of himself.

He smiles at her,

And I glare.

"Be as Chalant as You Like."

I'm with Wally.

(His best friend.)

It's a punch in the gut,

I almost regret it,

Seeing his expression.

We leave the business.

"I Take it You Aren't Feeling the Aster."

I'm going undercover.

I kiss Wally before going.

He looks away.

I leave.

I see,

From the corner of my eye,

He collapses.

"The Infiltrators have been Outfiltrated!"

Outfiltrated?

Understatement.

We were found.

Found,

And tortured.

Nearly killed.

He doesn't let tears slip from his eyes.

We were never together,

Ever.

Even after Wally left.

But I still loved him.

He loved me.

I didn't know.

I didn't know until he told me.

CPR didn't save me.

Mouth-to-mouth was our parting kiss.

The stories get it wrong.

No one lives Happily Ever After.

But I wait,

I wait in the afterlife.

I wait for him.

"We'll Laugh About This Someday."
