The ponies get sucked via magic into the pridelands mere weeks post Scar's takeover. Scar and the hyenas hunt them down over the course of the years and brutally murder them. Only the purple one is left.
"Scar, I thought after killing my father and bringing the Pridelands to a state of ruin that you were the most evil thing there was, but that was before. Now I can see that you have secured a great food source for the pride. These horses will feed some of the lions here for a few days or so. If I may, please let me kill the last one."
