Thank the Father
I do not own Supernatural in any way.
A/N-Bare with me, I've just watched Gabriel's first episode.
Gabriel entered the home of his most trusted friend, Carina. "Lucifer and Michael are fighting again", he said sitting down on her bed.
"About what?" she asked him.
"The end of the world", he said, "What else?"
"Angels that are brothers. Fighting? Heaven forbid", Carina said smiling, "Excuse my language. I don't understand why your father lets them fight".
Gabriel looked at her.
"I know, I know. I'm not supposed to question the Father", Carina said.
"Leave with me", Gabriel said.
"What?" Carina asked, not sure she heard him correctly.
"Leave Heaven with me", he said.
"Gabriel, if you leave Heaven you'll become a fallen angel and lose God's grace", she said.
"But I don't want to have to deal with the fighting anymore", Gabriel said, "Please Carina. Leave with me".
Carina looked at Gabriel and said, "Okay".
Gabriel smiled and used one of his vanishing tricks learned from Lucifer.
They roamed Earth for a couple of centuries.
Gabriel even posed at the Norse God Loki with Carina posing as his wife.
Now, they were working at a college in Springfield, Ohio.
And Gabriel was up to his normal tricks.
They were at the apartment.
Carina entered the living room/kitchen area. She found Gabriel with two women. She put her hands on her hips and said, "Really Gabriel?"
Gabriel just smiled and the two women disappeared. "You know I have a sweet tooth only for you", he said smoothly.
She rolled her eyes at him and picked up his favorite tabloid. She flipped through it before throwing it back into the chair. Carina walked over to him. "Don't feed the dog chocolate. It'll kill him", she said. She picked up the dog and set him on floor.
Gabriel grabbed her around the waist and hoisted her up onto the counter. "Gabe. Let me go", she said.
Gabriel looked up at her and kissed her.
Carina's eyes fluttered shut as she buried her hands in his sandy brown hair.
Gabriel picked her up and carried her to the bedroom.
She got there in time to see Lucifer stab Gabriel with the Angel Blade. "No!" she yelled.
Gabriel dropped to the floor.
She ran to his side.
Lucifer just looked at her.
She set her head on Gabriel's chest and cried.
Lucifer left the young angel to mourn for her lover and mate.
"Please Father. Give him back to me. I've never asked you for anything. Just do this one thing for me", she begged. She waited and nothing happened.
Sam and Dean entered the room. "I'm so sorry", Sam said.
She looked up at the Winchester brothers with a murderous look on her face. "You had better send that bastard back to Hell", she snarled.
When Lucifer and Michael had been sealed in Lucifer's Cage, Carina was still dealing with Gabriel's death.
Sam, Dean, and Castiel had gone out, leaving Carina alone in the house.
The doorbell rang.
She got up and nearly dropped to her knees to thank the Father when she saw Gabriel standing on the porch. She bolted out the door and into his arms. "You're alive", she cried.
Gabriel smiled and kissed her head. "I missed you too", he said.
"How?" she asked.
"When Luci was locked in the cage, Father decided to resurrect me", Gabriel told her.
She stood in Gabriel's arms, looked up at the sky, and said, "Thank you Father". Carina would rather be dead than live without her trickster.
