DM I'm Under De Weather
Gru had been a loving husband and father for as long as he could remember. But this morning he was feeling rather dodgy. ''Gru what's the matter?'' Lucy asked, noticing the pale ashen look on his face. ''I feel under de weather'' Gru moaned, lying back weakly on the mattress, ''Oh boy'' he added with a groan. ''What's the matter with Daddy?'' Agnes asked, coming into the room followed by Edith.
''Er he's feeling ill'' Lucy replied, ''He's going to need all the rest he can get''. ''Is he going to die?'' Agnes whispered, her lip wobbling. She knew the sometimes when people were ill, their body got too tired to live anymore. ''Oh no he won't sweetie I promise'' Lucy said hugging Agnes, ''He only has a virus''. She turned to Edith.
''Don't worry about your father Edith, he'll be ok, Why don't you and Agnes go and have some breakfast?''. Edith nodded reassuringly before trudging off with Agnes. Outside Margo had been over hearing the conversation. She had heard her mother and sisters saying something about Gru dying. If he passed away, she would never have a dad again.
Choking back a sob, she ran back to the room she shared with her sisters. Seconds later Lucy found her crying in bed [under the duvet and with a runny nose]. ''Margo'' Lucy said surprised, ''What's the matter?''. ''D..Dad'' Margo wept, ''Is going to die, I heard you talking to Edith and Agnes''. ''He's not sweetie'' Lucy said, giving her a big hug,
''he's only a bit ill, he'll get better in time, just like when any of you girls were sick, you got better''. She glanced at her watch for a second. ''Margo why don't you go and have some breakfast before it's too late?''. Margo nodded.
Crying had made her glasses all steamed up. she wiped then on her night gown and then went downstairs to join her sisters. After having breakfast and got dressed. Margo was feeling better. She had nothing to worry about after all.
Gru on the other hand was feeling like his body was super glued to his bed. Meanwhile Lucy spoke to the girls about their father. ''Girls, please don't disturb your father, he needs to rest and he'll probably stay all day in bed, you know I'm around if you need anything''. The girls nodded knowing their mother was right.
Gru was staying in bad as Lucy stated, but then he found himself clamping a hand over his mouth. His eyes widened and he raced to the bathroom. ''Blaaah'' he heaved throwing up in the toilet before staggering back to bed. He continued to stay there for the rest of the day. However after a few days, he was saying to Lucy one morning, ''I feel so much better''. ''Aww I guess you just needed to stay in bed after all'' Lucy replied.
The End
