Percy hid behind the corner. As he heard the floor steps creak, he smirked to himself.

"BOO!" he yelled, jumping out in front of Annabeth. She yelped and judo-flipped him. "Ow…"

Annabeth knelt by his side, laughing. "You should've known that was gonna happen." Percy just groaned. Annabeth stopped laughing and a look of concern overtook her features. "Are you okay?"

Percy smiled weakly. "Gotcha." They laughed, and Percy winced.

"Stupid Seaweed Brain," Annabeth giggled.

The two sat there on the floor for a few minutes before getting up and watching Pretty Little Liars on Netflix.

~1 Year Later~

"This is a bad idea Leo," Piper said. Percy watched from the couch, smirking.

"Annabeth will kill you!" Jason hissed. Frank and Hazel were cuddling on the carpet, whispering to each other. Calypso was shaking her head from her position in the massage chair.

Leo rolled his eyes. "I'll be fine. What's she gonna do? Stab me?" And then his eyes widened, like he realized Annabeth might actually stab him. But it was too late to back out now.

"She's coming," Piper whispered. Her and Jason rushed over to the carpet.

He heard her footsteps and jumped out at her. She shrieked (Leo was dressed as a spider) and judo-flipped him. Hard.

"I'm dying," Leo wheezed, gasping for breath.

"Amateur," Percy shouted. Leo pouted and clutched at his chest.

"Save me Calypso," Leo whined.

Calypso smirked. "I'm good, thanks."

And that's how Leo ended up in the emergency room on Halloween, even though his friends insisted he was fine.

While Leo slept, Percy snuck up on him and wrote AMATEUR on Leo's forehead in blue, bulky letters.
