I grinned down at the small new life I held in my arms. Even if the last few months had been hell, this was worth it. I, Gray Fullbuster, was now a proud father.
I made my way over to my exhausted wife who was now sitting upright on the hospital bed, being careful not to jostle the baby I held.
"He's beautiful!" Juvia whispered in awe as I handed her our son.
"What do you think we should name him?" I asked.
"Jace." She said firmly.
"Well hello there little Jace." I said smiling down at my son. "And you were worried." I said turning to Juvia, kissing her on the forehead. She blushed at the memory.
Flashback
It was late and Juvia and I were lying in bed, Juvia snuggled up against my chest, my arms around her waist.
"Gray-sama?" Juvia said looking up at me.
"What is it Juvia?" I asked, brushing away a strand hair that had fallen across her face.
She quickly looked downward face going flush.
"Nevermind." She said quickly.
"Juvia, what is it? You can talk to me you know." I pressed.
"Juvia knows, it's just Juvia dosen't want Gray-sama to be angry with Juvia." She mumbled into my chest.
"Hey," I said lifting her chin so that our eyes met. "There is nothing you could say that would make me mad. Please tell me what's wrong Juvia."
She pressed her face against my chest again, this time snaking her arms around my waist and squeezing me tight. I gently stroked her blue hair as she started to cry.
"Juvia," I said softy while rubbing her back, "Please tell me what's wrong. What do you think is going to make me angry with you? I can't help you if you don't tell me."
"J-juvia i-is, Juvia is, " she managed between sobs.
I pulled back just enough to look into her tear-filled eyes.
"It's okay, it's only me." I said rubbing her arms.
"J-juvia is pregnant." She whispered, not looking me in the eye.
"Really?! Juvia this is fantastic!" I nearly shouted pulling her into a hug, kissing her on the top of her head.
"Y-you're n-not m-mad at Juvia?" she said as she looked up at me in shock.
"Why would I be mad Juvia? If I didn't want a family with you, I wouldn't have married you." I said honestly, looking her in the eye, grinning as they lit up at my statement.
I hugged her again before pulling her into a celebratory kiss.
"Now all that's left is to tell the others!" Juvia exclaimed.
End of flashback
A knock on the door interrupted us. I turned my head to see Lucy and Natsu standing in the doorway, accompanied by their own child, Nashi.
"May we come in?" asked Lucy, while holding back an excited Nashi.
"Of course!" Juvia said as she beckoned them into the room.
Lucy was practically dragged in by her 5 year old daughter, followed by Natsu, who walked over to me and patted me on the shoulder.
"Ya did good Ice Princess." He said while smiling.
"Thanks Flame Head." I smiled back.
The Dragneel family was shortly followed by the rest of their friends, and it wasn't too long before the hospital room was packed.
I cleared my throat before speaking.
"Everyone, I would like to introduce you to Jace Fullbuster."
