TIN MAN, PRINCESS AND DINO
He saw her as he entered the great hall from the palace, exhausted and covered in dust from the all day travelling. She was again in those strange clothes of her from the Outer Zone and her appearence looked exactly the same as it was three months ago, the day before his departure after chasing Zero (again) out of the tin suit.
She was standing a few metres away from him, in the opposite side of the corridor. She was focusing her attention into something that Glitch was saying, and she haven't seen him yet. So he walked four steps ahead, stood in the middle of the hallway and said her usual greeting.
"Hey there, princess".
She turned as soon as she heard his voice, and the vision of the Tin Man made her smile.
The past three months looked more like three annuals. For the Great Gale; he has really missed her. Her smile, her blue eyes, her hair. And maybe would not be appropiate to say, but he have been missing even her scent.
He had been missing the whole DG.
"Cain!" she yells, and suddenly, the girl starts to run in his direction, black hair floating everywhere. He only has time to take off his hat before being hit by a princess in a hurry for hugging.
The impact makes the two of them fall on the marble floor. She is now on top of him, her breath on his, and blue eyes are meeting. Then DG puts her small hands in his chest, and Cain wonders if she could feel his once made of tin, now fast beating heart, through his shirt.
"So, the sheriff's back in town" she grins at him.
Cain just stares at her and smiles back.
"I'm sorry, I went Dino on you" she adds.
Is in that moment when the realization hits him. Gently, Cain cups her face with his hands and softly kisses her.
He loved DG. Even when he didn t understand half of what she was saying most of the time.
