The sun shone brightly in the distance, peeking its head over the horizon. The buildings towered over the pathways below, people stepping in time with each other no one speaking to anyone else. Rose sat above them all watching, almost glaring at the people below. The year was 2220 and the Iranian war had ended about a month ago but still so many people were petrified as to what was to come next. Rose had never seen so much heartache and loss, that was what had convinced her to join the rebellion, her own mother had been taken by the awful beasts. From that day on she swore she would take revenge, and no one could stop her rampage. Except him…

The glimmering water shone below the fragged cliffs, the water jumping as if to catch the top but falling again. A man with a rigid posture sat at the top of the cliff throwing stones into the water. He was thinking about life and its many philosophies left unanswered for so long. Then as if giving up stood to his feet and started to walk off as he whistled a song to himself. His father was at home probably drunk passed out on the sofa, or maybe just sleeping. Dimitri could never tell these days as he would sneek out whenever he got the chance. Dimitri had never really understood the meaning of the word "family", when he had been a young child his biological father had taken him from his family. His father had always been a cruel man short tempered with a sharp tone. Dimitri had no memories of his family just a sweet song his mother used to sing to him. His father had whipped him (literally) into shape, he used to say "No son of mine will be as pathetic as you." His father had never treated him with any respect of any kind, and not even the smallest piece of sympathy. Everyday he'd get the minimum amount of food, usually bread and water. Being normal wasn't an option when it came to him.

As Dimitri walked towards his car not really watching where he was going, he stumbled into someone. He instantly helped the person up without looking at them and mumbled a quick apology. His "dad" would be waking soon, but as he turned to take a quick glimpse to see if they were ok, he saw the most beautiful person in the whole world. Some of her hair had fallen from her high ponytail and fit the curves of her face. Her gear clung to her body in all the right places, she held a gun in one hand. The air around them was silent as they both took each other in, and accessed if the other was a threat.

"Who are you, I have a feeling we've met before" Dimitri asked.

"In your dreams" Rose chuckled to herself.

"Are you one of the rebels" Dimitri retorted.

"None of your business, my missions are classified, I can't reveal that to a citizen" Rose murmured with the gun still raised "You ask too many questions."

"You ask too few, if your job is to scout then should you be questioning me."

"How do you…"

"Intuition, Love"

Rose raised the gun to his head, "My friends say I'm a bit trigger happy, so if I were you I'd tell me why you're here and don't call me that again. Are you here because of Regio Belikov?"

"You could say that… He's my father" Dimitri said spitefully.

"How?"

"Well you see when a man and a wom…"

"I know that" Rose interrupted, as she said this her phone went off. "You're lucky there Comrade, My boss called they caught the man I'm supposed to be looking for."

"Who might that be, Love" Dimitri inquisitively asked.

"Your Father"
