A/N: I can't believe I actually did this. This was my sister's idea, so don't hate me. Honestly, I did think it was kinda good, but then it made me(and my friend who read it during class) sad. One of my friends thought of the title during dance class(ironically, I was the only one who didn't have to dance that day, since we weren't doing mine) when I asked her for ideas.

Love from the Heart

Sho opened his eyes, the lights of the hospital room blinding him for a moment before they adjusted. Where was he? Oh, right, he just had his surgery.

Blue eyes scanned the room, stopping at a mass of blond hair.

"Natsuki..." He whispered.

Natsuki stirred, his eyes cracking open. He raised him head, green eyes blinking sleepily behind his glasses.

"Sho-chan..." He mumbled, before his face broke out into a large grin. "Sho-chan! Your awake!"

He made a move to glomp the bed-ridden boy, but paused, arms stretched out wide. He reached forward slowly, wrapping his arms around his childhood friend. "I'm so glad..."

Sho let a smile make it's way to his face. The surgery went well. Of course, if it hadn't he wouldn't be here now, having the air squeezed out of him by his best friend. He suddenly felt a sharp pain from the left side of his chest.

"Na-Natsuki! That hurts!" He gasped, prying off the larger male's arms. Natsuki pulled back.

"Ah! I'm sorry, Sho-chan, I forgot!" He cried, watching as Sho gently prodded at where his heart was.

"Ow..."

The doors to the room were suddenly thrown open, causing both boys to jump, and Sho watched as his parents ran in.

"Sho!" His mother cried happily, wrapping her arms tightly around her son. He watched out of the corner of his eye as his father sighed. "Finally..." His eyes searched the room, even as his mother released him.

"Where's Kaoru?" He asked. He was sure his younger twin would want to be the first to see him. Something stirred inside him as both his parent's and Natsuki's faces changed.

"Sho..." His mother held him again, tears shining in her own blue eyes. He looked at Natsuki,, confused, before shifting his attention to his father. The man stepped forward, leaning in and placing a hand where his heart sat.

"Kaoru, he- he's right here." He said, in barely a whisper. Sho's eyes widened, looking over at Natsuki, who's head was bowed. His father pulled back, eyes also clouded with tears. "I'm sorry, there was nothing we could do to stop him. He wanted you to live, even at the cost of his own life."

Sho's eyes burned. They were lying, right? Both his parents stepped back, watching him carefully.

"We'll leave you two alone for now." He said again, placing a hand on Natsuki's shoulder. "Please take care of him."

He nodded, watching both adults exit the room. Once the door shut with a click, he turned back to his friend.

"Sho-chan..." He reached forward, pulling him close. He felt the shorter blond's shoulders begin to shake, he didn't need to look to know there were tears.

"Is it true?" Sho said after a while, his voice cracking. Natsuki held him tighter.

"I'm sorry." He said. "He wouldn't take no for an answer. He said you had a far more important dream."

Sho slowly reached up, placing a hand over his heart. Kaoru's heart, he thought sadly.

He did nothing to stop the tears that followed. All he focused on was the warmth of Natsuki's arms around him, and the love he felt from his new heart.

xXxXxXx

This took me 4 days to write, since I got distracted by Skyward Sword. Again. Which I am stuck in. Again. Stupid desert.

I found out halfway through writing this how a heart transplant is done. I don't think you'd want to tell a patient that your gonna crack open their ribs and cut out their heart, then attach them to a bunch of tubes. I actually asked my Chinese teacher "So, your dead for a while?"
