Gaara and Sakura
"Did you see Sasuke today?" Ino asked.
"No, but I did see the Kazekage," Sakura stated dreamily.
"Who cares about him? Anyway Sasuke was brought back today and he changed his outfit while he was gone. He now wears his shirt open so you can see his chest."
"I don't really care Ino. Sasuke is a cruel, uncaring jerk."
"But Sakura, don't like Sasuke anymore?"
"No, not really. He is a good teammate, but I doubt he would be a good boyfriend."
Ino looked slightly taken aback as Sakure stood and headed for the door. Sakura said nothing more; she just walked out the door and headed to Tsunade's office to begin another lesson. As she entered the building and walked closer to the Hokage's office, she ran into a familiar Kazekage. After bumping into him, she ended up on the ground.
The Kazekage put his hand out and helped her up. "You okay?" he asked as though he would've rather not said anything.
"Yes Kazekage," Sakura responded while blushing. "Sorry I ran into you."
"It's alright. Not like you could hurt me."
"That's true...umm...see you later I guess."
The Kazekage nodded his head slightly, and then walked away. Sakura went in to the Hokage's office. "Good afternoon Sakura," Tsunade stated.
"Good afternoon. May I ask why the Kazekage was here?"
"He was just here to ask if someone could assist him with his student Matsuri."
"Why would he need assistance?"
"He isn't good at medical stuff."
"Oh I see, so are you going to send someone to help him?"
"Yes. You can go meet them in the Ramen shop now."
Sakura's eyes widened. She didn't know what to say to Tsunade, so she just got out of her seat and headed for the Ramen shop to meet Gaara and Matsuri.
When she finally reached the Ramen shop, she saw Gaara and his young student eating some ramen. Sakura approached them. "Excuse me, Kazekage," Sakura said.
"Yes?" Gaara asked dully.
"Tsunade sent me to help you with Matsuri."
"Have lunch with us, please," Matsuri stated.
"Sure," Sakura said with a smile.
Sakura sat down next to Gaara and ordered a bowl of Ramen.
"So Kazekage..."
"Gaara."
"Oh okay. So Gaara, how is your village doing?" Sakura asked making small talk.
"Fine. How are you Sakura?"
"Great, thanks for asking."
Next to Gaara and Sakura they heard a giggle come from Matsuri. She leaned over and whispered in her sensei's ear, "Why don't you kiss her already?"
"Matsuri!" Gaara exclaimed in surprise.
"What you know you want to Gaara-sensei?"
"Matsuri, please let it go."
Sakura just sat there and listened to Gaara and Matsuri argue over something that she did not understand at all.
---------------
After Sakura helped Gaara teach his student some minor medical things, it was time for her to head on home. "Matsuri go back to the hotel," Gaara ordered.
"Okay, Gaara-sensei," Matsuri replied with a knowing smile.
Gaara accompanied Sakura home. When they reached her doorstep, Sakura said, "Thank you for walking me home Gaara. It wasn't necessary."
"I think it was," Gaara stated.
Without saying anything more, Gaara leaned toward Sakura and kissed her. At first Sakura was surprised, but after a few seconds she wrapped her arms around Gaara's neck and returned the kiss. Neither wanted to separate, but both knew they had to breath so they finally let go. "See you tomorrow Sakura," Gaara said after catching his breath.
No more was said between the two as Gaara headed to the hotel, and Sakura went inside her house.
