Unlucky Numbers
They say things like this make you a stronger person, and they might be right, but she doesn't think so. She doesn't think she will ever get past this, not as soon as she wants to. People say they understand, but they don't, not really. She did something she said she would never do, she walked out, on her husband, when she was barely sixteen. She doesn't know how to explain why she did what she did, but she did. She really has no explanation on why she did it. She knows she doesn't really have a reason to hurt, because she was the one that walked not him.
She heard on her little 13-inch tv, that he got married, America's most eligible bachelor was married, to a skinny blonde no less. The perfect little trophy wife, just another jab, that she is everything she wasn't . she came from a prominent family, so did he, she hadn't. Apparently they have close to a two-million dollar home, they rented a little apartment, that she heard he later got evicted from. She now lives in a little hole-in-the-wall apartment thirteen stories up, that she has to walk because the elevator is always broken, she can barely afford it. She still thinks thirteen is an unlucky number, but it isn't as unlucky as twenty-three.
