The Ballad of a Hogwarts Christmas

It fell about the Christmas time,

The students left the castle

The Potions' Master smirked about

His day filled without hassle

The Potter boy however did stay

Flitting about the school

Poor Snape was so mad

How was he to deal with the fool?

What Snape did not perceive

Was Potter-dear did love him so

What Potter did not know was that

Snape was in love, had fallen deeply too

Dumbledore did see the problem

He arranged a meeting between

They met, surprised

And dearly hoped none had seen

The holiday kiss they did share

Beneath the mistletoe

Potter blushed and Snape did pout

But they both did love it so

Late at night, hidden by dark

The young Gryffndor did sneak

To Snape's chambers hidden

Into the dungeon's keep

"Snape I have something to say"

Potter did state

"I find I love you, But

for your answer I shall wait"

The dour Potions' Master did blink

So shocked was he by Potter's affection transfer

What could he say to the boy?

He yelled to Potter, he had a proper answer
