The same but better

Five minutes to midnight

I sat on the very edge. My feet where swinging in the cold breeze. I looked over the edge at the ground below me. 96 meter below me. I did the Big Ben clock tower for a class project once. I smiled at the memory. I looked down at the white dress I was wearing; it was a beautiful summer dress that I had been given and it came to just above my knees. It was probably not the best thing to be wearing in the middle of winter but I didn't mind, I couldn't feel the cold anyway.

I heard a screech come from above me. I looked up in time to see an eagle near me. I like eagle they are such beautiful creatures and the one sitting next to me was defiantly one of the best. Ok so I'm probably bias. But hey, just about everyone and some stage is bias like when parents like one of their kids better or when someone like one football team better then others or. Ok I'm getting off track here. The eagle jumped on to my shoulder. She always likes it there.

Her name was Sadie and she was like me. Many people were scared of her but tried not to show it but I could tell. I can always tell. The wind blew my hair around my face as I looked towards the skyline. Beautiful.

I looked at the clock behind me to see that the two hands were almost at the top. Almost time. I bet your wondering what the heck I'm doing on top of Big Ben. Well I would answer you be right now I just don't have the time. It's almost midnight.

I stood up and move to the edge. There weren't many people below but it was almost midnight so I wouldn't expect there to be. Sadie launched her self of my shoulder in preparation for what we were about to do. I took one last look at her and smiled.

Then I jumped.
