Here With me

Athrun stared at the blonde, orange-eyed girl asleep in his arms. Cagalli always had a rather short temper and also a feminine sensitive side, though she doesn't show it much. Athrun chuckled at his thoughts, he was careful not to wake Cagalli up. The poor girl hadn't had much sleep since they got back from the PLANTS.

Cagallli's eyes fluttered open, asking in a hoarse voice, "Are you thinking again?"

Athrun smiled, simply staring at her and said, "Sorry, did I wake you?"

Cagalli scowled and then got up, releasing herself from Athrun's bear hug. Athrun chuckled yet again and then stood up and followed Cagalli to the dining room. Cagalli went and sat down in one of the chairs. Athrun scanned the room; right after the "Genesis Incident" they had been sent to live on earth while the Naturals and Coordinators were temporarily at peace with each other. The sky, which Athrun had once called home, was now just beautiful scenery.

"Aren't you going to sit down?" Cagalli's sudden statement awakened him from his thoughts.

"Oh… yes of course," Athrun replied placing himself in front of Cagalli.

Athrun stared at Cagalli. Cagalli turned crimson red. "What?"

"Well, aren't you supposed to be cooking food or something?"

"What the hell are you trying to say? Sure I'm going to cook for myself but why should I cook for you?" Cagalli said giving Athrun a give-me-ten-reasons look.

"Well, can you stand seeing me starve to death?" Athrun smiled sheepishly, waiting for an answer.

Cagalli just stared and then mumbled, "No…"

"Then I guess you should cook for me too then…" Athrun smiled.

"That was only one reason! One! Where are the others!" Cagalli cried standing up from her seat, her temper rising.

"I don't think you'll need other reason's…" Athrun gave her a sly smile as he slowly neared her.

"What do you think your doing?" Cagalli demanded as Athrun wrapped his right arm around her waist, his left hand playing with her hair.

"Let go! Let g--!" Before Cagalli could finish Athrun had captured her lips into a passionate kiss. Cagalli was wide-eyed but then as she was enjoying it to, let Athrun continue what he was doing. Athrun's tongue brushed against Cagalli's teeth begging for an entrance. Cagalli opened her mouth slightly letting Athrun's tongue inside. The two pulled away and Athrun smiled,

"Still not going to cook for me?"

Cagalli realizing what they were previously doing blushed and then stomped off into the kitchen yelling fine.

Athrun chuckled and then sat back down. He stared out the window watching a bird jumping around the branch of a tree, smiled and then focused to see Cagalli busily chopping vegetables and then putting them into a boiling pot of water. Athrun made his way to her side, blinked and asked, "Is that supposed to look like that?" Pointing to the pot with almost everything she had in lying in the refrigerator was. Cagalli looked at him annoyed, "Excuse me? Who's cooking here?"

Athrun quickly backed away and muttered a sorry. "Apology accepted, anyway I think it's ready!" Cagalli said transferring some of what was in the pot into a white bowl.

Athrun stared at the orange colored soup in front of him and asked, "Am I supposed to eat this then?"

Cagalli gave him a nod and then a knowing look.

"I'll take that as a yes," Athrun gulped as he scooped a spoonful of the 'concoction'.

Heaven take refuge of my soul…

End.
