She had seen him time and again, each time wondering about the man behind the mask. She can't help but think that they are alike. Making a alter-ego to help people who might not accept help if they knew who the person behind the veil was. She had been the Painted Lady and he, the Blue Spirit.

Aang has spoken of the Blue Spirit that has saved him time and again and she acts as if she has never heard of him before when in fact, she has. And never has she told the monk that she, herself, has seen the elusive Blue Spirit from time to time. She wonders if it was fated for them to meet.

It was early in the morning when she took the laundry to the river to be washed. She was surprised to see him leaning against a tree trunk, fast asleep. The mask with the eternal eerie grin is fastened on his face. She is silent as she creeps close, astonished at the fact that he has not awoken.

Hesitantly, she crouches down and reaches out to remove the mask. He exhales. She stops, afraid. She stands, withdrawing, but not before running a hand across the blue wooden mask in a gentle caress.

"Take care. Spirits be with you." She murmurs as she leaves him to his slumber. Everyone has their own secrets to keep and the Blue Spirit deserved to keep him own. She never noticed a pair of amber eyes opening to watch her walk away.
