My name is Clarke Griffin. Clarke will do just fine. I am the daughter of a Chief Medical Officer and a Senior Environmental Engineer. I am the daughter of a Council member. I am the daughter of Abigail and Jake Griffin, I am Prisoner 319.
Why am I a prisoner? That is a very good question. I will tell you why I am a prisoner on the Ark. I will tell you why I am in this closed off cell.
I am a dangerous person and my people fear me. They fear my kind and they will do anything to keep my kind away from "normal people". That my kind is not normal and we are basically a stain to humanity. We are nothing but dangerous monsters. My kind are called Shapeshifters.
Pretty cool huh? There used to be a lot of Shapeshifters on the Ark. But The only known Shapeshifters to be alive is my father and I. It would be cool to hangout with my father again.
How did I get caught? That is another very good question. All I have to say is Wells. That is what happened and how I got caught.
When was my first shift? My first shift was when I was 5 years old. I had a nightmare and I got scared. I had a nightmare. It was a terrible one. I should have never watched that scary movie with my father. Anyway I got scared and need to protect myself. Not only myself but also my mother and father. So I turned into this white wolf. I felt pain all over my body. My bones were snapimg out of place and snapping back. My father came running into my room when he heard my pained cries. He was shocked at what he saw. He came towards me and told me to calm down. and so I did calm down after about 15 minutes of freaking out. He told me all about Shapeshifters and that he is one too.
My second shift was on my birthday. That is when I get caught.
Wells and I were walking through the corridors of the Ark when there were two boys ran into us. They were older than us, they were 13. They're parents were part of the Council. They got mad and pushed us into the wall. I hit my head and so did Wells. They then punched the both of us. Wells got a fist to the gut and I got a fist to the face. I got angry. Very angry and I shifted. I attacked both of them and killed them. That's when I saw Wells gone. So I ran to my living quarters. I burst through the doors and go to my room. I'm on my bed when I here multiple footsteps. Not long until Wells, Thelonious, my mom, and 10 guards came. My mom sedated me and that's when the guards took me to my cell.
I have been a prisoner from 10 years old. 10! My father was the only one to visit. My mother came once and tild me that i am not her daughter anymore. That I am a monster. I was hurt and angry with myself. I lost my mother. But I still have my father.
I hated solitary confinement. I hated being locked up. I just hated it.
I hated the Chancellor, the Council, the Ark Guards and Wells. I was going to kill them all.
But I wouldn't have my way because when I turn 18, they will execute me. They will float me.
