A/N: Quick drabble because I can't commit to anything right now. Potentially the start of something, once I catch up on my course work and sleep. New chapters for everything will be up by Wednesday I swear.

From the moment they met, Beca couldn't help but pay attention to Chloe and the more attention she paid, the more her jealousy grew.
She could remember clearly watching the ginger woman with the perfect body walk away from their shower conversation with some reasonably good looking boy. All of her shame and self-consciousness had faded away during their interaction. Beca had never been someone who had been comfortable naked but she'd forgotten she lacked clothing while standing there.
The second time she had felt the jealousy monster turn her green was at the aca-initiation party when she watched the boy from before plant his lips and hands all over the tanned woman. It had eaten the musician alive as she endured a very drunken Jesse's awkward banter while watching the pair split up, only to be reunited after Chloe screamed about jiggle juice. After a few thousand text messages from the girl about being drunk and her man-friend named Cody, Beca had rolled over and put herself to sleep, unable to bear hearing any more about the topic.
In a few weeks past the party she received upset texts from Chloe; the tanned and attractive boy had left her. Beca cradled the girl as she cried, shooed away Aubrey when the blonde became rude about the sound of the sobbing. The brunette had been the ginger's brave man in a storm , she had braved the whole situation with an aching heart because a part of her wished that Chloe could ache for her.
Being accused of sleeping with Jesse by Aubrey had really hurt her, she had done everything, made every effort to push away the Treblemaker but regardless of what she did no one seemed to understand. She pined for one person, the one person who didn't seem to notice her.
Eventually they arrived at the final performance for the Barden Bella's. It had taken all of her energy and tolerance for Beca to go back to the girl's after everything but she had done it, for Chloe. Standing in the dark on the side of the stage, the DJ tapped her feet to keep in time with music as she watched the Treblemakers dance.
"You must be pretty proud, watching him up there," Chloe spoke behind her, drawing the Bella's attention. Beca shook her head with a smile. Chloe would never understand how wrong she was about everything.
"Not mine to be proud of. Everyone just doesn't seem to understand that I don't give a fuck about Jesse," Beca replied with anger clear in her voice. She swore that in the dark she almost saw Chloe's eyes light up at the comment but she had to be wrong.
"But I thought he was, you sweetie y'know?" the ginger girl replied curiously.
"No, definitely not. I care for someone else," the brunette laughed nervously.
The ginger approached with shaking hands and weak knees before leaning forward, daring to enter the brunettes personal space. "Well, you should tell them. They might feel the same," the ginger replied before kissing the brunette briefly on the cheek and walking off.
"Damn," Beca breathed.
