Pairing/Character: Bill Weasley x Hermione Granger

Bill stood side by side with his brother Charlie in a large jewellery store. He paced back and forth in front of the ring display cases.

"You alright, Bill?" Charlie asked wearily. He truly didn't know what he was getting into when he agreed to go with Bill to pick out an engagement ring. He thought his brother already had one picked out and just wanted his opinion on it before he made the purchase. At the very least he thought Bill would have a couple picked out and he just needed help to narrow the selection.

"I don't know which one to pick. Should I get her Tiffany cut or a Princess Cut? Diamond or Sapphire? Single Stone or Cluster? I just don't know" Bill fretted and ran his hands through his hair.

"Why don't you go talk to Harry?" Charlie said without thinking, "He knows her best, I'm sure he could help"

"I don't need Harry's help" Bill snapped with a glare towards his brother. He didn't want to be jealous, but it was a tender spot for him the relationship between Harry and Hermione. He knew they though of each other as brother and sister and that they had been through things together that Bill only heard about after the fact, but it didn't help soothe his jealousy when he saw Harry and Hermione huddled together. The fact that Harry was the first person Hermione turned to when something happened also didn't help.

"Woah" Charlie said and help up his hands, "Never mind"

"Sorry" Bill sighed and looked back towards the rings. He spent another hour at the store with Charlie before he settled on a beautiful ring with a large diamond in the centre and surrounded by clusters of Sapphires, it was the best of both worlds in his mind.

"She gonna love it" Charlie said and chuckled as Bill shoved the ring and his hand into his pocket but kept it clutched in his closed fist.

"Yeah?" he asked hopefully.

"Yeah, and you know she's gonna say yes"

"I hope so" Bill said with a sigh and the brothers walked down the street towards the apparition point to head home.
