(Spoilers for the Avengers below! Just in case someone hasn't seen it yet!)

When Agent Coulson walked unto the bridge no one batted an eye.

"Where have you been?" Nick Fury looked over at him. Coulson shrugged.

"I had to wait until the Avengers left, remember?" He smiled, then he grew serious again. "Do you have my Captain America cards? I can't find them.." Fury coughed discreetly.

"Erm, right here." He pulled forward the cards from his pocket and handed them to the other man. Coulsons eyes widened and he stared at the cards, before his eyes narrowed again.

"You got BLOOD on my originals?! They are RUINED!" His voice was more of a snarl than anything and he looked more than ready to attack the one eyes man.

"Now now boys, don't fight." A few straightened up as the woman, known to the world as "Darcy Lewis" entered the bridge. She threw her brown hair behind her shoulder and walked up to the two men.

"My cards Hela! He ruined them!" Coulson showed her the bloodstained cards. "Do you know how long it took me to gather them all!" Fury just rolled his eye and Darcy glared at him.

"Calm down Fen, I'll fix them." She gently pried his hands of the cards and lifted them to her face, breathing out a soft spell. A soft whisper of the sweet smell of decay flew through the room before she returned the - now spotless - cards.

"Thank you sister." Coulson smiled broadly at her, cradling the cards to his chest.

"Watch it, he might start wagging his tail." Fury said with a smirk.

"This is not over Jörmungandr." Coulsons snarled again, glaring at the other man. "I'm going to get you for this you cold-hearted bastard."

"Flea-bitten mutt."

"Slithering vermin!"

"Watch it or I'll get the leash!"

Coulson just snarled something and stomped of the bridge.

"You know he's going straight to the heating controls to lower the temperature in your room right?" Darcy asked, accepting the cup of tea that had been brought to her by one of the agents.

"Eh, he'll get over it. I need some sleep anyway." Fury muttered.

"Long day?"

"Remind me again why mother insisted we worked with the council?"

"To avoid suspicion."

"It was a rhetorical question. Is everyone back yet?" Darcy nodded.

"I had to completely make a new body for one of our brothers who got himself thrown of the ship, but most of it went fine."

"Most of it?"

"You might have to speak up for a little while, but everyone should be fine within the week."

Fury nodded. Then he glanced over at her and added in a lower voice.

"Have you seen mother lately?" She met his gaze and shook her head slightly.

"Not at my place. You know they wouldn't let him go that easily Jör." She sounded a bit sad.

"Maybe I should drop of some copies of the Norse myths at Starks place." Fury hissed slightly his shoulder tensing a little. "I can always hope Captain America decides to bring his ideals into Asgard..." He twitched away when Darcy suddenly straightened up on her toes and kissed his cheek.

"You are so cute when you worry." She smiled. "Don't worry about mother, he'll be fine. Let's not worry our siblings, yes?" She glanced over to the other agents, who all very carefully pretended they were not trying to listen to the conversation. "Mother will show up. We did our job after all." Fury nodded.

"You are right Hela." He looked out the window again. "He'll show up. Sooner or later." ¨

(Short I know.. And just to clear things up, I had them using their "real name" when the talked to the others, and their character name otherwise :) )
