I know you better than anyone,

I know you better than you know yourself,

I want to touch you, feel you, consume you,

is this not love?

His expression was so surreal, like a child lost in dreamland, Kuroko will forever drown in the sugary sweetness of fantasy, never have the need to return to this bitter, cruel reality again. His long, translucent eyelashes shivered in the breeze, looking as if they were about flutter open any moment, leaving a promise to grace Akashi with the boy's tender gaze once more.

However, reality is often more gruesome than delusions; Akashi will never be reflected in those azure eyes again.

The pulsating against his fingers has long ceased, but Akashi kept his hands wrapped around Kuroko's pale, fragile neck, reveling in the way warmth was draining from the boy's soft skin.

Akashi had near felt such fear before; he was always the bestower of fear, never on the receiving end, not until he met him. Kuroko lacked presence, yet he had always found a way to gnaw deep into the captain's heart and mind. His existent was ever so faint, so frail, like a snowflake that had landed on the captain's palm. It was constantly whispering and threatening Akashi about the day Kuorko will disappear and melt away into nothingness.

For the first time in his life, Akashi felt scared. He will not allow anyone to take Kuroko away from him, not even Kuroko himself. They have to be, no, they will be together.

Akashi's orders are absolute.

Akashi had watched his lover's lips quiver in pain as Kuroko struggled to smile, but Kuroko was never very good at smiling or showing any other form of emotion. Akashi felt the frantic palpitation under his palm, the endeavor by Kuroko's body to etch the evidence of his existence into Akashi's mind. Gently, the snowflake melted away under his heat, and the boy's clear eyelashes trembled for one last time before his lids rested lightly over the azure blue.

Kuroko's pulse stopped.

Finally, finally, they will be together forever, Akashi leaned in to press a tender kiss on Kuroko's temperature-less lips. He sank his teeth into his snowflake and took the shadow as his own, no one can ever tear them apart again.
