As I walked into the school I gazed around. There! There is the one who will some day realize how madly in love with me he is! I had glanced over at Austin, the boy of my dreams! He was casually chatting with some of his guy friends, so there was no way that I'd ever go over and say "Hi."….Unless…NO!
I started down the hall. Elizabeth came running to my side. "Good morning Melanie!" I stopped and glared at her. "What?" She looked away from me and giggled, "Can't I say hello?!" I stepped back and looked at her. "Fine!" She burst out and then, quick as a bullet, her mouth shot to my ear and whispered, "Ben is right down the hall! I gave him a piece of gum and he said.Oh! Thanks. But cooler! Isn't that sweet of him?!" Elizabeth had been crushing on Ben since forever and had just now gotten to the stage of stalking him around the halls. I laughed. "You gave him gum!?" She looked down at her feet. "You're pathetic!" I said, even though deep down she was doing more to seize Ben's attention then I was with Austin.
The bell rings. Science. I have the worst science teacher in the whole school! His name is Mr. Parson and he is a hairy, old, fat man. (Everyone thinks he touches little boys)But that's just a rumor..In science class we have to draw and label a diagram of an animal cell, which takes forever! My bud Chloe is in science with me too, so we work together on the cell project. Finally science is over and I head for Bloc. This means I have to walk up the stairs, which means I'll pass Austin who will be going downstairs. I've told Chloe about my feelings for Austin and she thinks I'm stupid and he's a perv, but I usually ignore her. She doesn't get it..
