if i showed up with a plane ticket
and a shiny diamond ring with your name on it, would you wanna run away too?
I'm on vacation, so please enjoy this lil' story. BTW, this is typed on my phone.
He called her the previous night to tell her to go to the airport with a packed suitcase the following morning at 9.
She, the following morning, showed up with a packed suitcase at 8:55, mostly because she originally set her alarm at 7 and had to change it to 6 because, knowing her, she took about 30 minutes to get ready, 10 minutes to eat and 20 minutes to drive down to the damn airport.
(She went to Starbucks on the way because apparently she didn't have enough coffee and toast in the morning)
"You're early, ain't you?" said a voice, making the woman jump slightly before she craned her neck to see if that person was talking to her. She saw pink at a high-ish level... yeah.
"Don't scare me like that, you idiot," she said, hand on her hip.
"Sorry, Luce. I didn't mean to, promise."
She rolled her eyes, a smile on her face.
"Well, why am I here with a packed suitcase when I don't even have a plane ticket?"
He grinned at her, and stuffed a hand into of his inner jacket pockets, pulling out two pieces of card which she assumed to be boarding passes, and a velvet box out of nowhere.
(That was when she noticed he didn't have any luggage with him.)
"These are real boarding passes," he stated, slowly going onto one knee, a crowd steadily forming.
He smiled, opening his mouth to say something (or so she assumed).
"If I showed up with a plane ticket," he sang, waving the two boarding passes at her, "and a shiny diamond ring with your name on it," this time, he put the passes on the floor and opened the velvet box, literally revealing a silver ring with a shiny little diamond on top, and a small engraving saying 'Lucy', "would you wanna run away too?"
He stood up grabbing the boarding passes along the way, giving them to his best mate (Gray Fullbuster, police officer).
"'Cause all I really want is you."
He cupped her cheek, stroking it with his thumb.
She was trembling, tears streaming down her face. "I want to run away, Natsu. With you."
I know, crappy ending; rushed... meh.
