The Child
I am a child who ran away,
From the terrors of every day,
I am a child who left the little that was mine,
Because I couldn't bare to pay the fine,
I am a child who's fine wasn't money,
And learn how dark life can be even though it's sunny,
I am a child who climbed the mountain,
And could make this world future certain,
I am a child that turned some of my foes to friends,
And warded off any bad ends,
I am the child that made it out of the Underground,
I kept the monsters safe even with their background,
I am the child who had the power over the world's end,
And the timelines could've been mine to bend,
I am a child who didn't use my powers to do wrong,
Life's so strange it could be a song,
I am the child who's a sign of power,
Even in the last hour.
