That feeling….during the time where we were young….do we still have it now?
The sun reigned over the land, blessing trees with small tints of yellow, almost as if they were to appear translucent. She held his had gently, looking up at the tan skinned man with adoration and an understanding of how lonely people could be holing themselves up in their own world. A small breeze passed, sighing through the trees with the grace of lovers dancing on the ballroom floor. He looked at her with an uneasy glance, wishing that he could turn to dust and vanish. She was far too nice to him, too understanding after all the wrong he had done in his past. His translucent green hues dulled with pity, knowing that she, an innocent, loved a monster such as him.
Yet this young woman, this girl looked at him with no fear, not caring about the way his face was marred by stitches forever. Her blonde hair swayed gently as the wind blew by, and a wide smile placed itself on her pale face. She was the opposite, the contrast of his darkness and his deepening hate for the world, as we knew it. She squeezed his hand and leaned against his arm gently, looking up at him with an innocent charm. It captured him entirely as he lowered his head to hers, placing a soft kiss on her lips before pulling away. If there could be any color on her face, it would have been a fierce red, but instead her cheeks were only blotched by a soft blue, and yet she was beautiful, and she didn't flee from his touch.
They continued walking down the road, their feet scuffing the dirty terrain while they smiled and laughed, telling stories about their younger years, when they were still alive. They stared at each other for a moment, pondering on if this would last even into their new life, and slowly, smiles crept onto their young faces. Yes, they would last forever. And with no more words, they walked down the way, disappearing into the fading light.

This was just a small fan fiction for no apparent reason. It was meant to be a challenge for Valentine's Day on this one site. But I didn't submit it. It's meant to be short for a reason, and really descriptive…so yeah. Happy EXTREMELY LATE Valentine's Day XD. I'm kinda pathetic when it comes to getting things done…. I was wondering if I should make a pairing with them, maybe make this a story of flashbacks or whatever…. Just let me know by leaving a comment or something! Thanks!
