If I owned Prince of Tennis, Echizen wouldn't exist. Well, he would, but he definitely wouldn't be the main character.

Tezuka didn't need to lean on Fuji to get off the court after his loss against Sanada. After all, it had been his arm, not his leg, that had been injured in the game. But even as his opponent paced off the court, he lay on the ground until Fuji's head blocked out the sun and the small, lithe hand offered to him.
There was something decidedly reassuring in the way Fuji's one hand gently rubbed his back through the thin fabric of his jersey and the other hand clasped tightly around his own wrist as his arm was slung across Fuji's back. Leaning on the prodigy's side a little more than he had too, he made his way back to where the rest of the team stood, a slightly dazed look on their faces that he had actually lost his match at the Nationals.
Avoiding eye contact with any of the other players, he heard Fuji's soft voice telling Ryuuzaki-sensei that he was going to take Tekuza to the changeroom to ice his shoulder. Once he was sure they were out of sight, Tezuka lowered his head, letting Fuji completely guide his feet and closing his eyes.
"It's just one game, Tezuka."
He didn't need Fuji leaning in such close proximity over him to press the ice pack against his left elbow, and he didn't need Fuji's hand resting on his thigh as they sat in silence. All these things he could have done himself, and he especially hadn't needed to suddenly yank the genius by the wrist on top of him, crushing the smaller body against his chest.
When it came to Fuji, it seemed like he had a tendency to place his wants over his needs, lately.
"All I want.." he whispered hushedly against the tendrils of hair.
He felt Fuji shift in his arms, tucking his head in the crook of Tezuka's neck so that one blue eye was just within Tezuka's field of vision, "Tell me, Tezuka," came the soft, sultry voice, "Tell me what you want."
They were treading on forbidden ground, Tezuka knew that very well as he crushed his lips against Fuji's, tasting, exploring, needing, as his hands pressed the other boy harder against himself. Later on, they would convince themselves that they had been caught up in the desperation of the moment and that it had been on unguided impulse that Fuji had just been trying to comfort him. Even as he let out a throaty groan, Tezuka knew that later when his logical mind took over, he would do his best to block his moment from his thoughts and convince himself that the kiss had not meant that Fuji returned his feelings, because it was impossible, it was wrong.
No matter how right it felt. No matter how strong the feeling that this is all he would ever want is.

Well. Hope that was okay, and reviews are much loved and much appreciated. Even if it is telling me that I should never, ever, ever, ever write another piece for this pair again. (:
