It was a cold rainy day and Nanami had just awoken up out of bed. Mizuki was at his old Gods shrine, and Tomoe was out to get some items for lunch. The only people at the shrine was herself and the shrine spirits. When Nanami finally got out out of her futon she headed for the kitchen and saw a note stuck on a tray, the note said:

Breafast is ready. Out to buy some groceries, be back soon, stay out of trouble. -Tomoe

Nanami thought of how kind Tomoe was, then remembered that he was her familiar and let the thought pass unnoticed. Once Nanami had finshed her breakfast, she had started to head back to her room to sleep in her lovely, warm futon, when she was stopped by one of the shrine spirits, it was Kotestu. "Nanami," Kotestu said, "there is a worshipper heading this way." Nanami then replied with an OK, and headed towards the front of the shrine.

Nanami then saw a young girl, no less then 13 and carrying an oversized camper bag. When she arrived to the top of the stairs she said only 3 words,"Nanami, help me." And fainted on the spot. Nanami rushed to the girls side, then asked Onikiri and Kotestu to help her carry the young girl into the shrine. As they laid her down on a spare futon in the living room, Nanami noticed something there was a white fox shape birthmark on her upper arm, the mark looked exactly the same as the one Nanami had and it was in the same spot to. As Nanami continued to wonder, Onikiri gasped in surprise, Kotestu was just about to ask what was the matter, when he soon found out and gasped in surprise. Nanami was now getting a little annoyed. "What are you to gasping about?" She said in anger. "Lady Nanami don't you see," they both said together, "this human girl has the exact same Land God as you do, but seems it glowing brighter then ever."

It took a couple of minutes to focus her eyes, but eventually she saw the glowing mark. She was started to wonder, if this girl could be some sort of demon when Tomoe came into the shrine. "Nanami," Tomoe began to ask Nanami, "why is there a camping bag and the front doo-." Tomoe saw the girl lying on the futon in the living room. "Why is there a human girl in the shrine?! You know that humans, other than yourself, isn't allowed in the shrine!" Tomoe said, raged in anger. "I know," Nanami said, "but when this girl called my name and fainted, I felt that in my heart I had to help her." "Why?" Tomoe said again,"it's not like this young girl is a land God, so why help her at all? She could a yokai." "Look Tomoe," Nanami yelled, "look at her fore head." With Nanami unknowingly using her word binding, Tomoe was forced to stare at the young girls forehead. It took some time but Tomoe eventually saw the God mark on this girl, but this God mark was the same as Nanami's God mark, this girl was another Land God of the Mikage shrine.
